Our Program Is Here To Build a Stronger Community.

Door County Deflection is grant funded through the Department of Justice. Deflection is a proactive community approach that addresses public health and safety challenges faced in the community.

Deflection seeks to address underlying substance misuse needs and reduce exposure to the criminal justice system by identifying and deflecting at-risk populations toward treatment and recovery services.

Door County Deflection is a voluntary program that offers Participants with substance misuse concerns the opportunity to receive connections to services and resources, at the earliest point possible, to improve their recovery outcomes and mitigate risk of criminal justice system involvement. The program may also be utilized as an alternative to arrest or citation for eligible offenses referred by Law Enforcement.

Participants are required to complete an assessment to determine the appropriate level of treatment services and case management support. All program Participants are expected to follow program guidelines and requirements. There is no fee for participating in the program.
